Your Hosts: Keith and Alison Hatton

Welcome to our heritage style Bed and Breakfast.  We are New Zealand born and have worked and travelled extensively overseas for many years.

Returning to NZ in late 2002 we found the Fairlie/Mackenzie district epitomised our ideal of NZ and all that we had missed.

We hope Allandale Lodge is a memorable stopover for the intrepid traveller.  An ideal stay to experience and taste New Zealand.

Great B and B with authentic smokehouse next door. Alison and Keith are a lovely friendly couple. Highly recommend staying here if your visiting tekapo and the surrounding area.

There were a lot of cereal options, yogurt, fruit, as well as a hot breakfast with salmon and eggs. Coffee/tea/juice too if you wanted. The room itself was nice. The bed is comfortable and it's a good size for 2 travelers. We spent some time catching up on work on the living room couches too. Alison gave us a nice recommendation for dinner at the Old Library Cafe (now Carnegies). It's a must eat if you're in town! We shared a lamb pizza and the rack of lamb. Can't go wrong there. It's not too far from Lake Tekapo and Mt Cook. We did a day trip out there and didn't feel like the drive was too much. All in all a great stay.

"Many thanks for the breakfast and stay. Simply lovely!  Slept like a log."Alison's bed and breakfast in Fairlie was such a lovely stay! Location was great, and the house and room were cosy and comfortable. Alison was an incredible host from the moment we stepped in. She made a dinner reservation for us in Fairlie (which was amazing!) and her breakfast in the morning was to die for. Thank you for a lovely stay Alison! Highly recommended to anyone looking to visit Fairlie / Lake Tekapo region.

Fairlie is a little town in the Mackenzie Country that packs a real punch when it comes to things to do - fishing, boating, skiing, snowboarding, hunting, biking... check out the Fairlie tourism website for information on things to do in Fairlie
